Director Statement

This work is a meditation on the materials of confetti and glue. Tarring and feathering is a typical form of public humiliation that was often carried out in the early modern period as a type of mob vengeance. Here violence is transformed into a sensual ritual through the use of white glue and rainbow colored confetti.
