“Recommendation 86” Sex Worker Rights Advocates Protest at United Nations

The San Francisco Bay Area Sex Worker Film & Arts Festival launches it’s archival collection of screened work with a video screening of “Recommendation 86” by PJ Starr http://www.sexworkerfest.com/videos/video_type/recommendation-86/

This important video and campaign led by by U.S. sex worker rights groups, Best Policy Practices, Desiree Alliance and and Sex Workers Outreach Project-NY puts forth the obligation to “…ensure access to public services paying attention to the special vulnerability of sexual workers to violence and human rights abuses.”

This week Monica Jones, a human rights advocate and transgender woman of color from Phoenix, AZ, speaks before the United Nation in Geneva, about how these issues have directly impacted her own life.
