An evening of film and discussion,
featuring short clips addressing inter-
connections of sex work and disability including videos from Sins Invalid.
The evening presents panelists from Sins Invalid “a performance
project
that incubates and celebrates artists with disabilities, centralizing
artists
of color and queer and gender-variant artists.”
In Pink Palace, director Seo
Dong-il documents the journey of Dong-Soo cho, who has cerebral palsy,
as he seeks a sex worker, despite the recently enacted legislation punishing
the selling or buying of sex.
Director William Takahashi
of Interacting with The Disabled in The Adult Entertainment World explains:
"I decided to enter the
adult design world because I saw a real need for education, understanding
and integration of the disabled into the adult industry. It's unfortunate
that sex and disability are more often seen as a medical or academic research
topic, not as erotic or hot.”
Performance videos from Sins
Invalid; Panel with members of Sins Invalid and more TBA. Moderator: Luna
Pantera.
Selections:
• Pink Palace, Seo Dong-il
• Interacting with
The Disabled in The Adult Entertainment World by William Takahashi
